The film reconstructs, through the interweaving of interviews, images, music and words,
songs that come from the Italian oral tradition. Three paths and three women who have dedicated their lives to reviving and transforming a musical and singing material of rare beauty. Three women who live in different regions and with whom it is possible to cover the whole of Italy: from Veneto to Calabria, passing through Rome. From their aesthetic and performative choices emerge three different ways of contact with the world of oral tradition, respecting the ancient root of the songs without giving up the search for new polyphonic, executive or compositional modalities. The songs, accompanied by evocative images that recall specific natural aspects of the land in which they were born, lead the viewer into an aesthetic space of great impact and at the same time accompany the words and con
cepts related to the artistic and musical work of the three protagonists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
